About Huntsville Fire & Rescue

Huntsville Fire & Rescue is the career fire and emergency services agency for Huntsville, Alabama. With around 395 trained personnel, it staffs 20 fire stations across the city and into neighboring Madison, providing fire suppression, emergency medical treatment, technical rescue, and hazardous materials response around the clock.

The department fields a substantial fleet on any given day, including 20 engine companies, 5 ladder trucks, and 4 rescue trucks, supported by specialized units. Its ISO Class 1 Public Protection rating places it among the top-rated departments in the country for fire protection capability.
