About Pell City Fire Rescue Service

Pell City Fire Rescue Service operates four fire stations staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, covering a service area of about 27 square miles and roughly 16,000 residents in east-central Alabama. A fifth-generation piece of the department's growth is underway, with a new Fire Station #2 slated for completion in June 2026.

The department fields a mixed engine and rescue fleet built for both structural firefighting and technical response, including three ALS engine companies, an ALS quint, a 100-foot aerial platform, a BLS command vehicle, two fire rescue boats, a breathing-air transport unit, a hazmat and trench rescue unit, a dedicated dive team, ATVs and a brush ATV, a medical transport unit, and a reserve pumper. Beyond emergency response, the department runs school fire-safety education, fire extinguisher training, CPR training, and building inspection services for the community.
