About Hanford City Fire Department

The Hanford Fire Department represents more than a century of service to the city of Hanford in Kings County, California's Central Valley. It operates three stations staffed by paid professional firefighters; each shift crew consists of a Captain running the station, an Engineer responsible for apparatus, and a Firefighter, occasionally augmented by intern firefighters from the Fresno City College Fire Academy.

Department headquarters is at Fire Station 1, where the Fire Chief, administrative staff, and Community Risk Reduction team are based. Through Community Risk Reduction, residents can join the department's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer group.
