Department careers page ↗Ormond Beach Fire Department (OBFD) provides fire suppression, advanced and basic life support, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, vehicle extrication, disaster preparedness, and fire/life safety education across the city's 38 square miles and roughly 44,277 residents, with automatic aid extended to neighboring jurisdictions.
The department is organized into two divisions: Administration, led by the Fire Chief with a Deputy Fire Chief and Office Manager providing managerial and administrative support, and Operations, which staffs four fire stations with 45 firefighters and three battalion commanders working rotating 24-hour A, B, and C shifts. Every firefighter is cross-trained as either a paramedic or an EMT, with each station staffed by a minimum of three personnel.
