About Noblesville Fire Department

Noblesville Fire Department is the career fire and EMS agency serving Noblesville, Indiana, a Hamilton County community of roughly 72,000 people spread across 58 square miles. The department runs three shifts of firefighters out of seven stations, fielding six engines and two ladders under an Operations Division organized into A, B, and C crews led by their own Battalion Chiefs.

NFD is also a heavy EMS provider: its Emergency Medical Services division fields 111 EMTs and 48 paramedics across 9 ALS-certified fire apparatus and 5 ALS ambulances, delivering both basic and advanced life support and running a Mobile Integrated Healthcare program staffed by Community Resource Paramedics. Beyond day-to-day fire and medical response, the department maintains a Tactical Rescue Team for high/low-angle, trench, collapse, confined-space, and swift-water rescue, a Dive Team based at Station 75, and a Hazardous Materials Team based at Station 77.

A dedicated Fire Investigations division handles origin-and-cause work and arson cases, while the Inspections division, led by the Fire Marshal's office, manages plan review, fire protection system inspections, and burn permits. The Training Division coordinates the department's recruit academy, annual mandated training, and promotional testing to keep personnel ready for both fire and medical emergencies.
