About Ouachita Parish Fire Protection District #1

The Ouachita Parish Fire Department has served the Monroe and West Monroe area of northeast Louisiana since 1965. It covers a large, mixed urban-and-rural jurisdiction of over 600 square miles and answers more than 17,000 calls a year.
