Department careers page ↗The Lee's Summit Fire Department provides fire suppression, advanced life support ambulance transport, hazardous materials mitigation, technical rescue, and emergency management services to Lee's Summit and the communities of Greenwood and Unity Village. The department operates out of seven fire stations and responds to more than 12,000 calls for service each year.
The department holds international accreditation from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International, first achieved in 2016 and renewed in December 2021, and carries an ISO Public Protection Classification of Class 2/2X, an upgrade from Class 3 earned in 2017. Fire administration and dispatch operate out of a Joint Operations Center on NW Main Street.
