About Monarch Fire Protection District

Monarch Fire Protection District protects a cluster of western St. Louis County communities, including Chesterfield, Wildwood, Maryland Heights, Clarkson Valley, Creve Coeur, and Ballwin. Its roots trace back to 1925, when area businessmen organized as the Bellefontaine Volunteer Fire Department.

As a fire protection district, Monarch is governed by an elected Board of Directors and delivers firefighting, rescue, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and public education across its service area.
