About Chickasha Fire Department

The Chickasha Department of Fire / Emergency Medical Services protects the city of Chickasha with an all-career workforce of 36 firefighter/EMTs and 2 civilian staff, operating a fleet of 10 emergency vehicles out of 2 stations.

EMS is central to the department's identity: roughly 70% of its 3,500 to 4,000 annual service requests are medical, and all fire personnel are cross-trained as emergency medical technicians and paramedics. The City provides the highest level of emergency medical service available in Oklahoma, including paramedic-level ambulance service extended to central Grady County under a contract with the Grady County EMS Board, plus non-emergency inter-facility medical transports.

Beyond fire and EMS, the department responds to hazardous materials incidents, technical rescue, and other hazardous conditions, and handles community services such as smoke and carbon monoxide detector checks.

MissionChickasha Fire Department shall strive to be a well-trained team and empathetic professionals. We will be constantly improving to best serve our communities. We are committed to saving lives and protecting property through innovative tactics and training while creating a culture of teamwork and servitude.
