Department careers page ↗C&B Fire Department protects Ladson, South Carolina and nearby areas including Summerville and Ridgeville through a combination staffing model that blends career and part-time firefighters with volunteer members. The department operates out of four stations — Headquarters, Benchmark, Sangaree, and Pringletown — with career and part-time crews staffing stations daily and volunteers supplementing apparatus crews, particularly at the Pringletown station.
The department's apparatus fleet includes four engines and a 95-foot platform tower truck equipped for high-angle and low-angle rescue work, alongside squad and ranger units at individual stations. Beyond emergency response, the department is active in community outreach, including fire safety education, school fire drills, and public workshops for Ladson-area residents.

Requirements
