About Jasper County Fire & Rescue

Jasper County Fire-Rescue is the county's combination fire and emergency medical services agency, operating under Jasper County Emergency Services (JCES). It was created in 2005 by county ordinance that consolidated nine separate entities, including the former county EMS and several rural and volunteer fire districts, into a single unified department.

The department protects a large, largely rural service area of about 650 square miles in the South Carolina Lowcountry, responding to more than 4,500 calls a year, the majority of them EMS-related. It runs four Advanced Life Support (paramedic) ambulances countywide.

Staffing blends career and volunteer members across nine station locations, concentrated in the northern, unincorporated parts of the county. Three stations are staffed around the clock, with two of those cross-staffing two-person ambulance crews 24/7.

MissionIt is the mission of Jasper County Emergency Services to provide the best Fire, EMS, 911 Communications, Emergency Management and 911 Addressing services to the citizens and visitors of Jasper County.
