Rather than a single station, it is a countywide system of 21 fire departments organized into five battalions, supported by a central administration, operations, training, and fire marshal staff.
The district is powered by more than 400 volunteer firefighters. Its ten-person administrative team brings a combined century-plus of public service experience and works to equip and support the many local departments spread across the county.
Beyond emergency response, the district handles community services such as smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector installation, burn and construction permits, fire prevention education, and ongoing training programs.
