Department careers page ↗Chester County Fire Department protects more than 11,000 residents and visitors across a 280-plus square mile response area from eight fire stations. The department is entirely staffed by roughly 80 volunteer members who train and respond alongside their regular jobs and family lives.
Beyond fire suppression, the department runs a public education program covering smoke detector distribution, fire prevention week activities, and fire safety outreach, along with fire investigation and inspection services for the county.
MissionChester County Fire Department exists to protect lives, property, and render aid to citizens and visitors of Chester County by providing excellent customer service through: Fire suppression and rescue activities, medical first responder services, public safety education, emergency management and fire prevention activities.
