The department now operates seven fire stations staffed by a fire chief, assistant chief, administrative chief, training chief, fire marshal, four deputy fire marshals, and 111 suppression personnel.
Beyond structural firefighting and EMS response, Hendersonville firefighters are trained and equipped for hazmat incidents, technical rescue, extrication, swift-water rescue, SCUBA dive rescue, and confined-space rescue, reflecting the range of calls a growing Middle Tennessee community along Old Hickory Lake generates. New firefighters complete the department's own recruit training program alongside the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy's Firefighter Basic Course before being certified as Emergency Medical Responders.
