Department careers page ↗Haltom City Fire/Rescue is organized into four divisions - Fire Administration, Emergency Management, Fire Services, and Fire Suppression - that together handle fire response, EMS, hazardous materials and explosives incidents, fire prevention, code compliance, and public education for the community. The Fire Services division runs commercial and multi-family inspections, plan reviews, fire and arson investigations, and the Juvenile Firesetter Program, while Fire Suppression crews also train, inspect buildings, test hydrants, and maintain equipment out of the department's stations.
The department operates out of three stations: the Central Fire Station on Broadway Avenue, opened in 2004 and able to house up to 12 members per shift; Station 2 on Midway Road, a roughly 12,000-square-foot house with four apparatus bays that replaced the department's original 1966 Waldemar Road station; and Station 3 on Old Denton Road, a 2022-built house running a front-line engine, a ladder truck, and a reserve engine.
