Department careers page ↗Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue was formed on January 1, 2020, through the merger of Lake Stevens Fire and Snohomish County Fire District 7, combining two neighboring career agencies into a single regional district. The department now protects a growing service area that spans Monroe, Lake Stevens, and unincorporated southeast Snohomish County, responding to approximately 12,000 calls a year out of 11 fire stations plus a logistics facility and administrative headquarters in Monroe.
SRFR provides fire suppression, EMS transport, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, and water rescue capabilities, along with community life-safety programs. Beyond frontline response, the department maintains specialty teams and traditions including a Pipes & Drums unit and an Honor Guard, and offers internal promotional paths to Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Academy Instructor.
