Firefighter

Summary of Responsibilities

Responsible for performing specialized work functions in preparing for and responding to fire/rescue emergency calls and providing general support within the fire department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work within the County to provide fire protection and emergency service response including by not limited to firefighting, alarm response, emergency medical response up to but not exceeding the employee's level of training, hazardous material incidents, search and rescue, lift assist, good intent calls, false alarms, fire prevention and fire education activities and other duties as assigned by the Director of Emergency Services.

Education and/or Experience

Required High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.

All certified firefighters be prepared to show certifications.
