Salary: $20.00 per hour
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday (schedule may flex on occasion)
Qualifications
1. Minimum 3 years fire service/code inspection experience*.
High School Diploma
Valid NJ Driver's License
NJ State Fire Inspector License*.
Knowledge of the NJ Uniform Fire Code.
Basic Computer Knowledge
Unless currently enrolled in recognized State of New Jersey Fire Inspector course.
The Township of Pennsauken has announced an employment opportunity for part time Fire Prevention Inspector. These positions are classified with the NJ Civil Service Commission as Fire Prevention Specialist and will remain in a provisional classification for a minimum 90 days, until permanent appointment is made. Duties will include the performance of fire code enforcement inspections and public education details in the Township of Pennsauken under the direction of the Fire Marshal. The applicant should possess strong communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work both independently and within a group. Applications shall include a copy of a resume, valid NJ Driver's License, valid NJ Fire Inspector License, high school diploma and any other vocational certifications.
