Current Salary FF/EMT
Entry level Firefighter/EMT: $7,186.26/month
*Lateral Firefighter/EMT with 12-36 months of Service: $7,635.40/month
*Lateral Firefighter/EMT with 36-60 months of Service: $8,084.54/ month
First Class Firefighter/EMT and *Lateral Firefighter/EMT with 60+ months of Service: $8,982.83/month
*Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue defines a lateral firefighter as a firefighter who is a currently certified EMT-P or EMT-B with more than 12 months of paid fire service experience and has attended an approved fire academy. Both entry-level and lateral firefighters will be hired on a probationary status and serve a twelve-month probationary period from the date of hire.
