Starting salary: Will be based on the current bargaining agreement between the City of Ocean Shores and IAFF 2109. The current salary range is $7,640.43-$9,248.95 per month (depending on qualifications).
PAY & BENEFITS
• Schedule 48/144
• Vacation: 6-13 (24 hour) days earned per year
• Sick leave: 18 hours per month
• Longevity pay: 1.5% per 5 years continuous employment
• Retirement through Washington State LEOFF II
• Deferred Compensation contribution of 5% by the city
• Paid Holidays
• Medical/Dental/Vision: 95% paid premiums by the city; 5% Employee contribution,
Life Insurance of $10,000 provided by the city.
• Short term and long-term disability pay for on duty and off duty injuries or illnesses.
• $75.00/mo. contribution to the Medical expense Reimbursement Plan hosted by the WSCFF and
$15.00/mo. contribution to LEOFF II disability insurance plan.
• Uniforms/Equipment: initial uniforms/safety equipment provided.
$10,000 Life Insurance policy provided by the City.
