Piperton Fire Department Needs You!

We are looking to fill additional openings for Volunteer Firefighters. We need physically fit candidates with a desire to join and (most importantly) commitment to stick with regular ongoing training in order to be prepared and ready to respond when that emergency call comes in.

PFD is a combination department which means we have both 24/7 full time and volunteer staff. We are currently recruiting for Volunteer roles, but full time positions are almost always hired from within as those slots become available. PFD prides itself on using nationally and state recognized training programs. We push our members to obtain many of the same formal certifications as full time career fire professionals, which eases that transition for those looking for a higher level of advancement. We strive for it to be worthwhile training, while making every effort to also keep it fun.  

Proximity to Piperton is important to promote a healthy level of personal involvement, but city residency is not a requirement nor have any formal geographic restrictions been defined.

PFD has internal training capabilities on several levels plus multiple types of roles that can be filled in a volunteer organization. Don't let age, either young or old, nor lack of previous experience prevent you from volunteering if this program piques your interest.
